The new premature elimination of PSG in the knockout stages of the Champions League, against Bayern Munich (2-0, 3-0 aggregate score) on Wednesday, reflects the illegible project carried by the capital club according to Thierry Henry. Present on the set of the show CB Sports Golazo, the former French international has invited the club to rebuild everything. For him, the public must be able to identify with their players, and recruiting young French talent could contribute to this.
“What is the plan? What is identity? I have said very often that there is a rift between the club and many supporters of the former PSG. They almost preferred the former Paris Saint-Germain (…) It’s an attractive club. If you go for Randal Kolo Muani, Marcus Thuram or players like that who will like to play for Paris Saint-Germain, it adds… It’s like Jude Bellingham who wants to play for Liverpool. (…) You have to be able to identify with the team and sometimes you have to reach out to this community of supporters and people who love the club. For me, we have to bring back the best young French players. Because most of them are Paris Saint-Germain supporters. They have the money to bring them back so why not do it?” It is not certain that the Parisian leaders listen to his advice.
