When details emerged about the reason that Arn Anderson was let go from the WWE, it seemed to be a cut and dry situation. It came as a surprise to many that quite a few wrestlers within the WWE were actually taking Anderson’s side.
Dave Meltzer shed some light on the reason behind this week’s “Wrestling Observer”. According to Meltzer, the situation was not nearly as clear cut as media outlets have made it to be. According to the wrestlers that have spoken up in support of Anderson, no one, including Anderson, knew how bad off she was until she was already out in the ring.
The reason that her altered state wasn’t noticed is that Alicia Fox has a reputation for acting erratically backstage. Meltzer elaborated by stating that this erratic behavior has been happening more frequently with Fox as of late. Thus, many wrestlers believe that it was not a matter of Anderson allowing a wrestler to perform while intoxicated, but rather a situation where her erratic behavior hid the issue in front of him.
