There’s now speculation on WWE doing a Mask vs. Hair match between Rey Mysterio and Andrade at WWE SummerSlam.
Last night’s RAW saw Andrade rip Rey’s mask off after Rey eliminated him from the Gauntlet Match, which ended with Ricochet earning a SummerSlam title shot from WWE United States Champion Ricochet.
Above is post-RAW video of Sarah Schreiber talking to Rey about what happened with Andrade. Rey says he has two goals now – to get the United States Title back, and to get payback on Andrade for what he did with the mask. Schreiber asked Rey how disappointed he was over not getting the SummerSlam title shot.
“That’s when you think about the hard work you put in and it just goes to show that I worked really, really hard but not enough. I needed to go through two more rounds and tonight just wasn’t my night. But I won’t live with that weight on my back forever. This is just one bad night that happened, even though the circumstances were a bit horrible because the only person that has ripped my mask in the past were Eddie Guerrero and Randy Orton, and now Andrade took it overboard. You know, I have two more main goals in my mind right now – first getting that US Title back and second, take care of Andrade for what he did to me,” Mysterio said.
WWE has not confirmed a Mask vs. Hair match for SummerSlam, but they are also pushing the match on social media. As seen below, Andrade took to Twitter and Instagram with more words for Rey.
“I am the new face of Latinos!!! I will end with the legacy of #ReyMistero,” Andrade tweeted.
He added on Instagram, “I enjoyed this moment so much, I remembered my time in Mexico when I did this every week !!!”
