According to Sports Illustrated, Shawn Michaels has landed a major role in “90 Feet From Home” – an independent film directed by Brett Bentman, a lifelong wrestling fan.
The film also stars Dean Cain and Eric Roberts and is a story based around retribution and vengeance. Michaels is set to play the main villain in the movie, Jimmy Devine, described as “an abusive stepfather whose issues with alcohol and anger forever alters the promising future of his stepson”.
The role of Devine is significant. It is such an important role that the filmmakers originally targeted Mel Gibson and Jeff Bridges before recognizing that their price tags were far more than the film’s budget could accommodate.
