Sevilla FC: En-Nesyri accepts Nice’s offer

Youssef En-Nesyri has already given his agreement to OGC Nice, with a view to a possible transfer. The Sevilla FC striker would be the alternative on the track leading to Terem Moffi (Lorient).

According to the elements obtained by Foot Mercato, Nice is well in the game to obtain the signature of Youssef En-Nesyri. The Sevilla FC player would appear in second position on the Aiglons’ shortlist to compensate for the departure of Andy Delort. The media specifies that the Algerian international has already given his agreement to the leaders of the Riviera club. He could join the OGCN if the track leading to Terem Moffi does not materialize.

Youssef En-Nesyri is not in the odor of holiness at Sevilla FC. Jorge Sampaoli, the current coach of the Andalusian team, does not trust him. The native of Fez has only played 10 games as a starter, out of 20 games played, since the start of the season. The player nevertheless managed to score 5 goals. Recruited in January 2020 for 20 million euros, Youssef En-Nesyri totals 40 goals in 127 appearances under the Sevillian tunic. His contract runs until June 2025.

Lorient too greedy for Moffi?

The priority file of Nice, Terem Moffi, seems for the moment at an impasse. Nice would not be able to offer enough to convince the Merlus to let go of their striker: the Aiglons would offer 20 million euros, plus 3 million in bonuses, while West Ham would have gone up to 28 million. The gap is relatively large and it is not said that the leaders of Nice are able to fill it.

Sevilla FC is in a worrying sporting situation (19e). Monchi, his sports director, would also seek to bring in cash to finance his recruitment. The context seems suitable for negotiating a transfer. The Niçois should not delay too long, because the situation of Jorge Sampaoli is wobbly. The arrival of a new coach could singularly change the status of the Algerian and his availability on the market.
