Seven players of University of Georgia get the Final ITA Ranking

on

The successful season for Georgia ends with another prestigious result. Seven members of the University of Georgia women’s tennis team earned spots in the final ITA national rankings.

Senior Lea Ma got a n. 3 in singles. She was followed by her sophomore Dasha Vidmanova at no. 10, sophomore Mell Reasco at no. 46, from freshman Anastasiia Lopata to n. 81 and by graduate Meg Kowlaski at n.120.

In doubles, sophomores Guillermina Grant and Mai Nirundorn finished No. 27, while Kowalski and Reasco finished No. 58.

Head-coach Wallace, who recently announced his retirement after 38 seasons, finished his career with a record of 818-199 for a .804 winning percentage. As the only women’s tennis coach to be named National Coach of the Year on four occasions, Wallace led Georgia to six national championships, 14 NCAA semifinal appearances, and 20 Southeastern Conference titles, making the Georgia Bulldogs one of the programs most elite in women’s tennis. collegiate tennis.

UGA Libraries is a member of the Association of Research Libraries. The University of Georgia is organized into 18 schools and colleges and consists of 3 main campuses: the largest one is located in Athens while the other two are in Tifton and Griffin.

The University’s sports teams are called the Georgia Bulldogs. A member of the Southeastern Conference, the Bulldogs have won 37 national championships and 130 conference titles. The Georgia Redcoat Marching Band is the official marching band of the University of Georgia.
