Paris Saint-Germain were eliminated from the Champions League by Bayern Munich on Wednesday, much to the delight of Real Madrid….
PSG were beaten 2-0 at the Allianz Arena after losing 1-0 at the Parc des Princes last month, with two of their former players scoring on both legs in Kingsley Coman and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.

Christophe Galtier’s position as a manager is now under pressure, with Parisian president Nasser Al-Khelaifi set to sign a new manager. Real Madrid hope their chances of signing Frenchman Kylian Mbappé have improved due to the elimination of his current employers.
Mbappé available earlier
“Kylian Mbappe’s contract at Paris Saint-Germain will automatically be extended for a year if the club wins the Champions League,” reports the Mirror. Mbappé’s move to Real Madrid was all but a given last year with Los Blancos apparently already planning his unveiling at the Santiago Bernabeu.
But the World Cup winner did an about-face, signing a two-year contract extension that made him the highest-paid player of all time, ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer to Al Nassr, Saudi Arabia , for 200 million euros per year. But it turns out that only one of those years was mandatory.
The striker signed a new lease at Parc des Princes last May until the summer of 2024,” the report continues. “The last year of this contract is an optional renewal on the part of the player”.
A Champions League win would have automatically tied Mbappé to PSG until the summer of 2025. Now he can leave a year earlier, although he recently said his future is not tied to European glory.
