According to information gathered by Gaston Edul, who works for TyC Sports, PSG has agreed with Lionel Messi, with a view to an extension for at least one season. The formalization of the news could therefore take place in the coming weeks.
Lionel Messi is not expected to join MLS or Saudi Arabia as it has been rumored in various media in recent months. The Argentinian seems to like Paris and would rather stay there. The player would be particularly motivated by the idea of winning the Champions League, which has been fleeing him since 2015. This extension would also allow him to remain at the highest level with a view to the Copa America to be held in 2024 in Ecuador.
What about the future of Neymar and Mbappé?
