Passed by Olympique de Marseille as part of a one-season loan during the 2020-2021 season, Michaël Cuisance has not been able to get his career off the ground for several years.

For a professional footballer, the most difficult thing is undoubtedly to confirm the hopes placed in him in the long term. A hope, Michaël Cuisance was, he who wore the jersey of the France team in all categories of young people, from U16 to U20. After an early career where he quickly exploded at the highest level on the side of Mönchengladbach, the native of Strasbourg joined Bayern Munich, without managing to impose himself there. During his time in Bavaria, he was loaned to OM for a season, during which he managed to recover playing time. Unfortunately, his good year in the Marseille city did not allow him to breathe new life into his career. Signed by Venice in 2022, then loaned to Sampdoria, Cuisance does not wish to continue in Serie B, but the good clubs are not scrambling to revive the Frenchman. With our colleagues from The Teamhe confided in his situation.

“I want to return to the Champions League”

Today I want to leavesays the attacking midfielder. The club agrees. I’m just waiting for the right project. I would like to find a first division club where I could work. Where do I want to be? At the highest level. I want to find the Champions League in my career. I won a lot of titles with Bayern, but I was not a major player. I don’t really feel like I won the Champions League even though I was in the team. I would like to find an experience like the one I went through in my first year in Mönchengladbach (2017-2018). Don’t ask me questions, play liberated.”

At only 23 years old, the career of the player trained at AS Nancy Lorraine is obviously far from over. However, finding a club that really counts on him is a priority. Since the 2018-2019 financial year, the date of his last season at Monchengladbach, he has never regained major player status. As a reminder, he won the Champions League with Bayern Munich in 2020, against Paris Saint-Germain. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJRoa8QhHWg
