Novak Djokovic’s record date gives his rivals chills

on

Novak Djokovic has a record figure, which terrified all his rivals in the top-10. Rafael Nadal dropped out of the Top 10 after 912 consecutive weeks. If among the personal consequences there is the exit from the seeded for tournaments below the 1000 category, there is another that affects all the players who are now among the ten best in the world.

A figure that revolves around the titles won and crowns Novak Djokovic’s longevity. In fact, the 22-time Grand Slam champion has won more titles than any other top 10 player. 93 titles versus 75 trophies. A statistic that says two things: the successes of the Serbian tennis player, who is establishing himself more and more in the history of tennis; the young age of the top ten.

In fact, the list includes Carlos Alcaraz and Holger Rune, not yet twenty years old and winners of twelve titles in two: nine in favor of the Spanish tennis player, from the Grand Slam title to three Masters 1000 in two years, three for the Danish tennis player.

Behind Novak Djokovic’s 93 titles, unsurpassed by the remaining top ten colleagues, is Daniil Medvedev. The Russian tennis player has won 18 titles in his career. Of these, only one success against the twenty-two times Grand Slam winner, the 2021 US Open.

Second in the standings is another Russian, Andrey Rublev: twelve titles for him, like the current world number one, with seven 250m and 5,500m titles. Closing the podium, he is followed by the current world number three in the standings, Stefanos Tsitsipas: nine career titles.

No Grand Slam title for him, but the victory at the ATP Finals and the two back-to-back titles at the Masters 1000 in Monte-Carlo stand out. On an equal footing with the Greek is Casper Ruud: for the Norwegian, however, only 250 titles, one of which on hard courts and the rest on clay.

The final counts are closed by two other top ten tennis players, namely Hubert Hurkacz, Felix Auger Aliassime and Taylor Fritz.
