Nice take over Lille / Ligue 1 (J20)

on

Thanks to an achievement by Gaetan Laborde, OGC Nice got rid of LOSC this Sunday at home (1-0).

The OGCN Didier Digard version is tough. This Sunday, we had the opportunity to see it again. Opposed to Lille, a team that precedes them by 3 places and 9 points in the standings, the Aiglons have succeeded in collecting points (1-0).

A Realistic Nice

In this part, the Gym did not succeed in everything. In the second half, the premises notably appeared borrowed. But they covered the essentials. They perfectly thwarted the plan of their opponents and stung on one of their rare created chances.

It was Gaëtan Laborde who scored the sole goal of this tussle. On a bell ball, Rémy Cabella tore on a back pass. The young Badreddine Bouanani, for his 1e tenure in Ligue 1, took the opportunity to steal his leather, move towards goal and then serve Laborde on a set. The latter then only had to conclude in the empty goals.

Lille was helpless

At 1-0, Nice therefore decided to defend rather than continue to attack. It was risky, but the tactic worked. Despite a clear domination, Paulo Fonseca’s team failed to make a difference at the front. The times she found herself in a position to equalize, Kasper Schmeichel watched over the grain and preserved his clean sheet.

While undergoing without breaking, Nice was not far from taking shelter. At the 59e, Aaron Ramsey had the break point, but he ran into Lucas Chevalier. A failed attempt but that the OGCN will not have to regret. The Côte d’Azur team managed to secure the victory and the 3 points won allow them to gain two places in the standings to find themselves 8e. European qualification is still within reach.
