Mexico Travel Ban Extended Through Mid-June, AEW Stars Unable To Work Dates In The U.S.

on

It was recently announced that the travel restrictions from Mexico, which are a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, were extended to June 18th. This means that any wrestling talents living in that area cannot travel to the states to work events.

Most notable from that list is AAA and AEW superstar Pentagon Jr. from the Lucha Bros, who has not appeared at an AEW event since March. Pentagon has continued wrestling in AAA’s empty arena shows, while his brother Rey Fenix will be working tomorrow’s Double or Nothing pay per view in Jacksonville.

Also affected by this ban is AEW’s Jack Evans, who has also not worked an AEW event since March. Although mainly a performer on Dark, Evans frequently teams with fellow Lucha Underground partner Angelico, and wrestled on last year’s inaugural Double or Nothing card.
