Javier Tebas has admitted he would like to see Kylian Mbappé play in La Liga for Real Madrid.
The Paris Saint-Germain star was close to joining the Spanish capital last year, before opting to stay at his current club. But the links persist and the Bondynois could well join Real, if not this summer, but the next one.

La Liga president Tebas has openly admitted that he would like the Frenchman to join the league. He told Vamos: “In La Liga, the only club that can buy Mbappé is Real Madrid. I would like to see him in La Liga”.
Last summer, Real attempted to sign the 24-year-old striker, who signed a new contract with PSG, despite everyone expecting him to move to Madrid for the 2022-23 season.
Tebas’s words could be perceived by some as an attack on FC Barcelona. Tebas has openly spoken about FC Barcelona’s precarious financial situation and the fact that they are unable to spend the money in the next window unless they sell some of their players and cut salaries.
He has also recently spoken out about the controversy which saw him embroiled in a refereeing scandal, conceding he is unsure whether results between 2016 and 2018 were affected by his actions.

The 2018 world champion’s future is once again up in the air after the Parisians were knocked out of the Champions League by Bayern Munich.
The absence of a European trophy for PSG is embarrassing, especially since they have spent considerable sums in recent windows.

PSG have plenty of names that are surplus and need to be taken out of circulation – Neymar and Messi would be a significant part of that.
