Ho knocked out by top-100 player in Turkey

Tin-Tin Ho got through her first match at the WTT Feeder Antalya but was then knocked out by the world No 91.

Fresh from winning her fifth national Women’s Singles title at the weekend, Ho flew to Turkey for the event and won her last-64 clash against Belgium’s Nathalie Marchetti (WR 327) in three straight, though she was extended to 18-16 in the first game.

Ho faced the world No 91 and 12th seed Li Yu-Jhun of Chinese Taipei in the last 32 and lost in three, though she had a game point to take the third and also saved a match point.

GB Junior squad athlete Sophie Earley was defeated in the first round, while fellow GB junior player Anna Hursey of Wales made it to the last 32. Charlotte Carey of Wales lost to the third seed Zeng Jian of Singapore in the last 64. The Welsh duo, Commonwealth bronze medallists, lost to top seeds Prithika Pavade & Camille Lutz of France in the doubles last 16.
