Gareth Bale to debut on PGA Tour

A well-known face, Gareth Bale, will make his first appearance on the PGA Tour next weekend.

The Welshman will take part in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, as an amateur, of course.

Gareth Bale, Pga Tour

Bale said goodbye to football immediately after the World Cup in Qatar, greeting his national team and the clubs he played for with two letters full of pathos (find the one addressed to Wales here).

Well, just two weeks after his retirement, the Welsh champion entrusted Instagram with the news of his presence at the more traditional Pro-Am held on the US Tour, which has always been attended by celebrities from all fields, especially sports and entertainment.

We already know that Bale is a huge golf enthusiast, which has often created problems for him in his activity as a footballer.

Last episode in chronological order, right at the World Cup in Qatar.

Knowing his passion, it seems that the Welsh national team wanted to impose a ban on him playing during the matches of the world competition.

Bale, in order not to have problems, had a simulator installed in the hotel that housed Wales.

But now that he is “retired”, he is free to devote himself body and soul to our sport, where he has already been involved for some time (he is an ambassador of R & A).

While waiting to show up on the tee at Pebble Beach, Bale went to warm up his engines at Torrey Pines, where he contested the Pro-Am in the team of Jon Rahm, who declared:

“I said to Gareth ‘You can’t be that strong as a footballer and a golfer at the same time, that’s not right'”

“He didn’t ask me for anything, and he didn’t need to, he’s already capable enough”

“In the Pro-Am he played two handicaps, but I think it wasn’t right, he should have passed shots to the other amateurs, because he’s a really strong player”.

Something tells me it’s not the last time we’ll talk about Gareth Bale.
