In the process of leaving his post as PSG coach, Christophe Galtier should cost the Parisian club dearly before committing to Italy where Naples is interested in him.
Christophe Galtier’s trying season on the Paris Saint-Germain bench ended on June 3 after his team’s final defeat against Clermont (2-3, 38th day of Ligue 1). The coach is now ready to turn the page, especially since his leaders have shown him the way out. A decision that will however be expensive for PSG. For his part, the former LOSC tactician remains confident for the rest of his career since he is very popular in Serie A where the defending champion has his sights set on him.

Under contract until June 2024 with Paris, Christophe Galtier will therefore be entitled to his severance pay. And the sum promises to be plump since the amount is estimated at some 7.2 million euros. Negotiations around this sum could however be tough because Paris Saint-Germain should, according to RMC, seek to lower the total. If he had succeeded with Mauricio Pochettino last year, the Parisian club could have more difficulties against the French.
The stranger is interested in him
And Christophe Galtier will have all the less pressure as he should very quickly find a job, the candidates for his reception being relatively numerous. If the OM track should not succeed, the coach also has a few tracks abroad, notably in the Premier League, in Qatar, or even in Italy. And it is precisely this ultimate destination that could materialize. Serie A champion this season, Napoli has however separated from its coach, Luciano Spalletti, and is interested in Christophe Galtier. From one champion to another, the tricolor coach will perhaps not lose out.
