Cody Rhodes has advanced in the AEW TNT Championship tournament.
The American Nightmare picked up a victory over Shawn Spears in the main event of tonight’s episode of Dynamite, which was pre-taped due to the onoing COVID-19 pandemic. Spears kept things interesting after kicking out of two Crossroads from Rhodes, but succumbed to the Figure-Four leglock.
Rhodes will face the winner of Sammy Guevara and Darby Allin in the semifinals. The next tournament matchup will be between Lance Archer and Colt Cabana on next week’s Dynamite.
