Still looking for a midfielder following its failure in the Enzo Fernández case, Chelsea wants to make its market in England. After having already recovered Marc Cucurella in Brighton last summer, then Graham Potter in September, the Blues intend to attract the young Ecuadorian Moisés Caicedo (21 years old).

But to afford it, the London club will have to get its hands on the wallet. While the management of the Seagulls has already rejected an offer of up to 55 M£ (more than 62 million euros), Chelsea plan to raise the stakes by submitting a new offer of 65 M£ (about 74 M€), according to The Mirror. Much appreciated by Graham Potter, who had him under his orders in Brighton before his departure, the Ecuadorian, under contract until 2025, is also followed by Liverpool, Newcastle or Manchester United. Arrived in England for € 5 million in 2021, from the Independiente del Valle (Ecuadorian D1), Caicedo should bring a juicy capital gain to Brighton in the event of departure.
