As seen above, Charlotte Flair and WWE United States Champion Andrade recently spoke with Seconds Out for an interview while in the UK.
Flair and Andrade revealed details on how Andrade popped the question back on New Year’s Eve. There’s still no word yet on when the WWE power couple will be getting married.
Andrade noted that he put a lot of time into planning the proposal for their New Year’s Eve trip to Cancun, Mexico. Andrade made dinner reservations at a waterfront restaurant, and already had their meals picked out. The reservations were for 8pm but Andrade mentioned that they had to leave by 10pm, which confused Flair at first.
Andrade hurried them out of the restaurant and told Flair that they should hit the local bars or restaurants for the New Year’s Eve countdown and fireworks. A waiter from the restaurant ended up leading them to the water near the front of a restaurant, which was next to a marina. Flair recalled how they walked down to the docks when one of the yachts lit up. A captain and second mate were waiting, and they took a ride up to get pizza, then to dock with other boats in the water, which were playing American music for the countdown and fireworks.
Flair said Andrade told her to look at the fireworks, then when she turned back around he was down on one knee with the ring out. Flair called it amazing.
