C.M. Punk On His Transition Into Acting & More

on

C.M. Punk was recently interviewed by ET Canada. During the interview, he discussed his transition into acting as well as his love for horror movies. Here are the highlights:

On His Love For Horror Movies:

I think for me horror movies is an escape, so for me, it’s eyes wide open. I watch the news through my fingers. That’s the brutal stuff that scares me. Take me to Canada with you.

On Making The Transition From Wrestling To Acting:

I think some wrestlers are just good wrestlers. I think others are good actors that also wrestle. So I think it’s a lot of the same. You’re driving on the same street. Maybe sometimes it’s on the opposite side of the road, you’re in a different country, but it’s all kind of the same.

The gear shift is over here, the turn signal – everything is round about the same. I’ve always been comfortable – the first time I think I was ever in front of an audience or on camera I was on The Bozo Show locally in Chicago. I was like, eight years old, and I got picked to play this game on this local broadcast, and I was just like “Whatever.” I was just eight years old and I was chill with it.

So, I don’t know. Maybe it’s something you’re born with, I don’t know. I think it’s definitely something you can hone and sharpen. But the transition, it’s easy. It’s kind of like, what I’ve always done, just nobody’s trying to murder me. At least they’re not supposed to. They’re not supposed to in wrestling either, but some people just don’t have that fine touch.
