WWE legend Bret Hart took to Instagram earlier today to comment on the scary incident that took place at the Hall of Fame ceremony on Saturday night. Hart says he was not injured from the attack, and wants everyone to know that he wasn’t going to let anything stop him from completing the tribute to his best friend, Jim Neidhart. He concludes by thanking Natalya, Beth Pheonix, and the WWE for their hospitality.
What a wild weekend to say the least! First of all I want to thank WWE for not only the Hall of Fame honor for myself and Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart, but for their hospitality with my family and friends. Regarding the ceremony, firstly I want to let everyone know that I am okay and was not injured. If there’s one thing I want everyone to take away from the Hall of Fame ceremony is not so much what happened, but how I wasn’t going to let anything stop me from completing my tribute to my best friend and our team. I’m also glad I got to join @natbynature and@thebethphoenix for their WrestleMania moment. Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts and words.

PW Insider is reporting that Zach Madsen, Hart’s attacker, will appear at Kings Criminal Court in Brooklyn this coming Friday 4/12. Bail has been set at $750, or a $1500 bond. Madsen has also been appointed a public defender for his charges, which are two counts of assault and trespassing.
