Celebrated at the Stade de France on Friday evening, in the company of the other freshly retired 2018 world champions, Hugo Lloris, Steve Mandanda and Raphaël Varane, Blaise Matuidi was then able to appreciate the attractive performance of the Blues against the Netherlands (4-0). The former PSG player, guest on the show Bartoli Time on RMC this Sunday, did not hide his enthusiasm vis-à-vis this new generation that he considers very talented.
“It’s a great generation with a lot of talent, I think most of them have the chance to play in big clubs, but also talent, because it doesn’t just take luck, insists the former French international (84 caps). There is a group that seems to live well. I think we have a new generation coming, a fiery youth who wants to do great things. We are happy with the match we saw against the Netherlands.
