Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah was shocked to learn that his home in Cairo had been burglarized.
The information was confirmed by the Egyptian daily Al Ahram. One of the properties of the Liverpool striker has been ransacked and looted, but whether the total damage remains unknown for the moment. An investigation will be launched by the Cairo public prosecutor to try to find the burglars. “Surrounding surveillance cameras are being unloaded and security personnel responsible for securing the premises are being questioned (…) The security services are stepping up their efforts to unravel the mystery of the incident, and the necessary legal measures have been taken.” a source familiar with the matter told the Egyptian newspaper.
A big game to prepare
Despite this misadventure, Salah will have to stay focused on football as a crucial meeting awaits the Reds this week. Liverpool will indeed challenge Real Madrid on Wednesday evening (9:00 p.m.) as part of the knockout stages of the Champions League.
