AEW FULL GEAR RESULTS (11/13/2021)

The pre-show kicks off with pre-match hype video packages promoting some of tonight’s matches from the Countdown to Full Gear special from Friday night.

We see hype for the Danielson-Miro tourney final, the Baker-Conti women’s title match and others. Now we see a look at The Super Kliq showdown against Christian Cage and Jurassic Express.

LIVE Inside Target Center

After the final vignettes air promoting the top matches scheduled for the PPV, we shoot live for the first time inside the Target Center in Minneapolis, MN. where Tony Schiavone welcomes us to the show.

Dante Martin Interrupted By The Acclaimed

Schiavone is in the ring and he introduces Dante Martin. He brings up Lio Rush’s situation and then goes to talk to him further, but is interrupted by The Acclaimed theme song.

Anthony Bowens and Max Caster come out rapping and dissing Martin and then their music cuts off and Excalibur brings up Martin’s offer from Team Taz.

The Acclaimed bring up Martin having offers from Team Taz and interest from Matt Sydal and Lio Rush. The fans get on their cases with “shut the f*ck up” chants. They tell Dante that he’s either with them or against them and asks him what it’s gonna be.

Martin ends up hitting a crazy high spot to take them both out on the floor and his hometown fans in Minneapolis go nuts, as apparently The Acclaimed just got their answer.

Nyla Rose & Jamie Hayter vs. Thunder Rosa & Hikaru Shida

After another vignette for another PPV match tonight followed by a stop by the commentary section for a look at tonight’s lineup, Nyla Rose’s theme hits and out she comes for our lone pre-show bout on tonight’s Buy-In.

She heads down to the ring accompanied by Vickie Guerrero and settles inside the squared circle as her music dies down. Jamie Hayter, a close assoociate of Dr. Britt Baker makes her way out as Rose’s tag-team partner.

From there, Hikaru Shida’s theme hits and the former AEW Women’s Champion makes her way down to the ring. Her partner, Thunder Rosa, comes out, and it’s almost time to get this one underway.

Rose and Rosa kick things off for their respective teams. They trade kick attempts and then Rose slaps a side head lock on Rosa. She shoulder tackles her down to the mat and an “Eddie! Eddie!” chant breaks out as Vickie Guerrero roams the ringside area.

Rosa starts to fire up but Rose uses her size and strength to remain in control of the action. Rosa hits a pin attempt that only garners a two count and then she hits a drop kick before tagging in Shida. Shida and Rosa hit some double-team spots on Rose and continue to control the action as the fans cheer.

Jamie Hayter tags in and now she and Rose start to shift the momentum in their favor, dominating the offense with Rosa isolated on their end of the ring. Rosa fights her way back into competitive form and the two begin going back-and-forth in the corner.

Shida tags in and ends up firing up and taking back control of the match. Rose low bridges Shida as she hits the ropes and Shida takes a nasty spill out to the floor. Rose clotheslines her down on the floor.

We see some more back-and-forth shifts in offensive momentum and then Shida goes on a big offensive fired up run that sees her taking outt Rose and Hayter time after time, only to have the pin broken up when trying to finish this one off.

Now Rosa and Shida fire up and each dump Rose and Hayter to the floor. They follow up with dives off the top but then Shida gets distracted by Serena Deeb at ringside. This allows Vickie Guerrero to hit her from behind with a crutch. Hayter then brings Shida into the ring and up to the top for a superplex.

Rose follows up with a top rope splash but Rosa comes off the top with a dropkick to break up the pin attempt. Rose goes for a beast bomb on Shida but Shida avoids it and ends up pinning Rose to win this one.

Winner: Hikaru Shida & Thunder Rosa

Orange Cassidy Teases Bringing In Special Partner

Tony Schiavone is standing by backstage with Orange Cassidy and The Best Friends. He brings up the Lumberjack match on Rampage and then announces The Butcher & The Blade vs. Cassidy and a partner of his choosing for Dynamite. He says he could give one of his friends here but he brings up Chaos and says maybe he’ll bring in somebody else.

Jim Ross Joins Commentary Crew

“Boomer Sooner” is played and out comes “Good Ole’ J.R.” to join the rest of the gang on commentary, as The Buy-In wraps up and we get ready for our AEW Full Gear pay-per-view event.

The FBI piracy warning displays and then we shoot inside the Target Center once again where pyro and fireworks explode as the commentary team led by J.R. inform us that it is Saturday night and well, we know what that means!

MJF vs. Darby Allin

AEW Full Gear 2021 is about to get underway as the commentators quickly run down the advertised lineup for tonight’s show and then they inform us that Darby Allin vs. MJF will kick things off inside the ring.

With that said, MJF’s theme hits and out comes the leader of The Pinnacle for tonight’s opening contest. He settles in the ring as the fans boo and the commentators put him over as the bad guy.

A cool black-and-white Darby Allin entrance vignette airs, concluding with him lighting a car on fire and then his theme hits inside the arena and the crowd goes wild as he makes his way out accompanied by “The Icon” Sting.

The bell sounds and we’re off-and-running with our first PPV bout of the evening. The fans break out in super loud chants as these two trade holds and takedowns before separating and restarting. Definitely a hot crowd atmosphere here tonight.

Early on the story appears to be that Darby is trying to prove he can hang with MJF from an actual mat-wrestling standpoint, and thus far, he’s doing exactly that. The crowd is eating this up with a spoon, by the way, as they well should. Great stuff straight out of the gate in this one.

We see Darby start to fight into the first lengthy offensive lead, however he goes for a high spot too early, as he has MJF on the apron outside of the ropes and heads to the top rope. He looks for his Coffin Drop finisher but MJF rolls out of the way and Darby crashes and burns.

MJF takes over from here, bringing Darby back in the ring and going to work on him, taking him apart bit by bit as the crowd tries to rally behind the fan-favorite. He works over Allin’s arms and then hits a big backbreaker. The commentators speculate that MJF tweaked his knee hitting the backbreaker on Allin just now. We look at some replays.

Friedman takes Darby up to the top rope and looks for a piledriver but Allin escapes and ends up countering. He jumps and flips over MJF, bringing The Pinnacle leader down directly into a super stunner. Both guys are slow to get up after that. MJF tries to jump back on him upon restarting the action, however Darby fires up and is looking ready to finish this one off. MJF hits a thumb to the eye that ends up slowing him down anyways.

Allin avoids a sharpshooter and starts focusing his attack on the softened up knee of MJF. MJF jams his own knee up again and Darby dives at it with a chop block. He then slaps a figure four leg lock on him but MJF ends up escaping. Both guys are down again and MJF is talking to the ref about his knee. He gets up and limps over to Darby and hoists him up for a suplex. We get a super close near fall that gets the crowd to literally stand and applaud.

Now Darby heads up to the top-rope backwards for another Coffin Drop attempt but MJF escapes out to the floor. Darby decides to hit one on the floor instead and it connects but Darby took some damage of his own on the hard landing. We see some replays while the fans chant “Holy sh*t.” Back inside the ring he goes for another Coffin Drop but MJF gets his knees up and Darby lands on them.

Shawn Spears and Wardlow run out to help MJF but Sting charges behind them and takes them out with a bat and chair. MJF goes out and gets Darby’s skateboard. He brings it in the ring and rolls it to Darby and dares him to hit him. Darby almost does but decides against it. When he goes to get rid of the skateboard, Darby turns into a shot from MJF with the Dynamite Diamond ring on. He then hits a side head lock and pins him 1-2-3. MJF wins.

Winner: MJF

AEW Tag-Team Championships
FTR vs. Lucha Bros (C)

As soon as the first match wraps up, we head right back to the ring for our second bout of the evening, which will be our first championship match of tonight’s show.

FTR’s theme hits and out they come accompanied by Tully Blanchard for this AEW Tag-Team Championship contest. The AAA tag champs settle into the ring and await the arrival of their masked opposition.

The bell sounds and we’re off-and-running with this one. We see some action straight out of the gate and then the dust settles, the smoke clears and we see the two men starting things off in the ring as Excalibur reminds us of Alex Abrahantes and Tully Blanchard at ringside.

Harwood and Penta exchange quick pin attempts early on, which each man kicking out and countering with one of their own. Fenix tags in and hits a crazy double jump spot on the ropes and then he and Penta team up for some double-team moves. FTR ends up bailing to the floor before a double kick spot. They end up taking over on the floor.

Back in the ring, FTR picks up where they left off, taking it to the masked champs. Wheeler works over Fenix as the crowd boos and the pace slows down. Harwood tags in and adds some additional punishment. The duo sneaks and holds hands during a stretch spot to add extra leverage.

We see Wheeler tie Penta’s mask to the bottom rope from the floor while the ref is distracted on the other side of the ring. They eventually get it untied but not before FTR takes over and inflicts further damage in what is quickly becoming a one-sided affair. We see FTR cut off another Lucha Bros comeback and dominate again with double-team offense culminating with a double back drop for a near fall.

Harwood tells an assh*le fan to shut up, as he calls him, and then tags in for a series of suplexes, Eddie Guerrero three amigos style, however Penta ends up avoiding all three and he takes over and goes for three of his own as the fans come to life with “Eddie! Eddie!” chants. Fenix follows up with a frogsplash for a pin but it is broken up. That would have been a cool tribute finish, but even still, a cool homage spot nonetheless.

FTR hits a big stuffed piledriver off the ropes but they can’t finish off the Lucha Bros with the follow-up pin attempt. The fans try and rally behind Fenix as he dukes it out with Dax. Wheeler comes in to help but Penta provides the assist and now Lucha Bros are back in this one. We see the mask used in the Super Ranas match being put on by both FTR members to confuse who the legal man is.

One member gets in and goes for a pin with his feet on the ropes but the ref catches him. The Lucha Bros hit a double team spot and score the pin shortly after that. The Lucha Bros win and retain.

Winners and STILL AEW Tag-Team Champions: The Lucha Bros

AEW Title Eliminator Tournament Finals
Miro vs. Bryan Danielson

The vignette airs to get us ready for the finals of the AEW World Championship Eliminator tournament and then we shoot back inside the arena where Miro’s theme hits and “God’s favorite champion” makes his way out and heads down to the ring.

“The Redeemer” settles into the ring and his music fades down. Now the theme for “The American Dragon” plays and out comes the other semifinalist in this tourney, Bryan Danielson. The fans give him a big reaction coming out as the commentators sing his praises.

Early on we see Miro using his strength to keep Danielson off of him, but the “American Dragon” ends up firing away with kicks and chops to close the distance. As Miro bull-rushes Danielson into the corner and pounds away at him, we hear the commentators speculate that Miro has made the black eye Danielson brought into the match worse.

Danielson fights back with more shots in the corner but then Miro shucks him off when going for a tornado DDT attempt. Miro with a big back elbow and then a shoulder block that levels Danielson and quiets the crowd down. Miro continues to remain in control for a long period of time and then on the floor, Danielson runs and hits a knee to the face of Miro off the apron.

Back inside the ring, Danielson adds to that lead, kicking the hell out of “The Redeemer” as the crowd comes to life with thunder “Yes!” chants upon each one landing. Miro ends up hitting a big counter that again shifts the momentum back in his favor. Miro’s leg gives out on a follow-up attempt after being stuck in a leg submission from Danielson for a while.

Danielson fires away with knees at Miro while holding him down. He does the wrist capture stomps spot as the crowd cheers and chants along. He backs in a corner and leads the fans in a “Yes!” chant as he waits for Miro to get up. He goes for the running knee but Miro counters and catches him. He power bombs him down for a near fall. Miro nearly gets his Game Over submission on but doesn’t quite.

The two exchange near falls and near finishes and then Miro hulks up and starts daring Danielson to kick him in the ribs. He gives him wide open free shots and eats them like they’re nothing. He then decks Danielson with one of his own. The two fight on the ropes and then Danielson reverses and down they come. Danielson follows up and takes advantage of Miro’s neck and slaps on a submission for the victory.

Winner and ADVANCING to AEW World Title match: Bryan Danielson

Trios Falls Count Anywhere Match
The Super Kliq vs. Christian Cage & Jurassic Express

We shoot straight to our next match without a video package, as out comes Nick and Matt Jackson — The Young Bucks. They are joined by Adam Cole for his awesome ring entrance and The Super Kliq await the arrival of their opponents.

The theme hits to bring out Christian Cage and then he waits as he is joined by his tag-team partners for this AEW Trios Falls Count Anywhere match — Jurassic Express — the duo of Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus.

Now the bell sounds and immediately all six guys go at it. We see a cool spot with Jurassic Express, as Luchasaurus finishes it off with a standing moonsault off the apron. Cole looks for Panama Sunrise early on but it is stopped and then Jungle Boy hits the ring for a few spots.

The Young Bucks end up guzzling him up and taking over until he gets some shine time, hitting a spot on both of the pink-covered Bucks in his cowboy boots and jeans. Bucks end up double-teaming him, which brings in Luchasaurus to take them out. Cole then whacks him with a chair before kicking Cage out to the floor.

Cole settles and turns around and sees that Jungle Boy is waiting for him. Jungle Boy picks up a chair and swings it but misses and Cole turns only for him to throw it in his face, Sabu-style. He unfolds the chair and picks Cole up for a power bomb but the Bucks stop it and take over.

A table is set up and we see Jungle Boy reverse and sit in the chair to earn some style points — that is until Cole nails him with a big kick. Cage hits a reverse DDT on the chair that shifts the momentum again but then the Bucks take right back over. Jim Ross talks about this being a blur as it is so fast. Amen. Luchasaurus works over both Bucks and German suplexes them both out of the corner.

Luchasaurus then turns around into a trash can shot. Jungle Boy German suplexes Cole out of the ring and then hits a dive and splash onto him on the floor before hitting the ring to hit another. He goes in and runs for a third but lands on a trash can waiting for him courtesy of the Bucks. Cage then takes out one Buck with it and the other Buck takes him out. Luchasaurus then takes that Buck out and goes for a pin on the floor for a two-count.

As the action continues we see that Cole is split open and bleeding badly. He is rolled into the ring and Cage and Jungle Boy have chairs. Cage tells Jungle Boy to do it. Young Bucks end up stopping him and beating him down and the brawl continues all over the place. Back in the ring, we see Jurassic Express work over Cole and Jackson as the fans chant. Jackson and Cole end up throwing a super kick party that takes everyone out.

Jungle Boy hits a hurricanrana on Cole that puts him through the table. Jackson flies off the top and elbow drops someone else through another table. We shoot way out in the crowd and see Jackson and Cage fighting when Cutler and Nakazawa get involved. Cage ends up climbing up to the top of the section and looks out to the crowd before leaping and taking out Jackson and his cronies for a near fall in the crowd, as J.R. reminds us that this is a Falls Count Anywhere match.

We see replays of Cage’s crazy spot as the fans chant “Holy sh*t” and the action resumes. The thumbtacks make an appearance. Several are put in Jungle Boy’s mouth for a high spot that the commentators and fans think will finish this one up, but it doesn’t as Cage breaks up the finish. The action continues and after several more table and chairs spots, we finally get to the finishing sequence. We see Jackson run away but get stopped by Jungle Boy for a snare trap. Cole breaks it up.

Everyone ends up there and there’s a low blow party. Cage runs into a spear. Luchasaurus is dumped off the stage and Jackson dives onto him. The other Jackson and Jungle Boy head up the rafters near the entrance set. Cole stops Jungle Boy and heads up after him. Cole hits a panama sunrise off the entrance set on Jungle Boy. He goes for the pin but Luchasaurus breaks it up. The Young Bucks and Cole throw a super kick party for Luchasaurus and then Cage and then we see more thumbtacks put into knee pad.

Each guy has one and they all put them on. They hit a BTE trigger with them on and go for the cover but Jungle Boy breaks up the pin attempt. Cage hits a high spot and then Luchasaurus chokeslams Cole onto Cutler and Nakazawa. Luchasaurus hits a shooting star press off the ramp onto the aforementioned trio. The fans chant “holy sh*t,” as does Schiavone on commentary. Jungle Boy just stares in disbelief. Cage sets up a conchairto but Jungle Boy insists he does it finally. Cage hands him the chair. Jungle Boy takes a deep breath and does it. He goes for the pin and this one is finally over. Crazy, crazy match.

Winners: Christian Cage & Jurassic Express

Malakai Black & Andrade El Idolo vs. Cody Rhodes & PAC

The vignette airs to get us ready for our next match of the evening, which will be a tag-team contest. When it wraps up, Andrade El Idolo makes his way out, takes his mask and entrance gear off and then makes his way down to the ring.

El Idolo settles into the ring and then the lights inside the Target Center go out. When they come back on, Malakai Black begins making his typically awesome entrance as he prepares to join Andrade in the ring for this tag-team contest.

Now the music for PAC hits and out comes “The Bastard” himself. He makes his way out and heads down to the ring where he awaits the entrance of his partner for this bout.

Finally, the theme for “The American Nightmare” hits as the lights go out inside the Target Center once again. The fans immediately begin booing. He makes his way out as the boos grow and Arn Anderson eventually emerges behind him and follows him down to the ring.

Cody kisses his weight belt and gives it to a handicap fan in the front row. Cody then takes his robe off and enters the ring, waiting by PAC’s side for this one to get underway.

The bell sounds and it will be PAC and Andrade kicking things off for their respective teams. The fans boo and chant stuff as Andrade tries to get into Cody’s head a bit before engaging with PAC. Before anything can happen, Cody slaps PAC on the back and tags himself in.

We hear the fans boo again and then Cody quickly explains himself to PAC before getting ready to engage with Andrade to get this one going. Instead, PAC tags himself back in before anything happens and he re-enters the ring. Now PAC and Andrade finally start exchanging strikes to get this one started for real.

These two continue to go at it while the commentators remind fans of their exciting split-series of matches. Cody and Malakai tag in but before much can happen, Andrade tags himself in to the dismay of Black. Cody and Andrade go after it now and then Andrade gets tangled up in the ropes trying to do something cool. Whoops!

Jose the assistant grabs Cody’s leg from ringside, which provides enough of a distraction for Andrade to take over the offense and begin taking it to Cody. Cody hits a running dive on one side of the ring and then hits a powerslam on Andrade in the ring. PAC aggressively tags himself back in and then Malakai does the same.

The action spills out to the floor where we see Arn Anderson and Jose the assistant in a standoff. This results in a little scuffle between these two and then the action resumes in the ring where more blind tags continue to take place. PAC finally hits his Red Arrow finisher on Andrade and scores the pin fall victory.

Winner: Cody Rhodes & PAC

AEW Women’s Championship
Tay Conti vs. Dr. Britt Baker (C)

After the vignette wraps up to finish promoting our next match of the evening, which will feature the AEW Women’s Championship on-the-line, Tay Conti makes her way out.

Conti heads down and settles in the ring and then her music dies down. Now a guitarist comes out and has a spotlight shined down on him. He begins playing an intro to the theme for the champ.

Out comes Dr. Britt Baker accompanied by Jamie Hayter and Rebel. They make their way down to the ring and the music cuts off. “The Dapper Yapper” Justin Roberts begins his formal pre-match introductions for this women’s title contest.

The bell sounds and we’re off-and-running with this one. Baker goes to work on Conti but Conti counters and stretches Baker on the mat. Baker escapes and quickly looks for her Lockjaw finisher but Conti reverses and looks for her DD-Ti finisher but Baker avoids that.

We see a shoving match between the two and then they reengage as the fans break out in split chants and Baker blasts Conti with a boot to the bread basket that shifts the momentum into her favor. Conti ties Baker up in the ropes and then climbs up only for Baker to bring her down and hit a butterfly suplex.

Back in the ring, the action continues. Now we see the two fight to the outside of the ring ropes where Baker hits the earring crash. The two tumble to the floor. Baker brings Conti back into the ring and slaps the lockjaw on her. Conti gets to the ropes to break the hold. Conti starts to take over and she hits her DD-Ti finisher but can’t get the pin.

She kicks the hell out of Baker and then goes for the standing hammerlock, only for Baker to float over into a lockjaw attempt. Conti reverses into a pin attempt and Baker counters into one of her own that gets the finish. Baker retains.

Winner and STILL AEW Women’s Champion: Dr. Britt Baker

CM Punk vs. Eddie Kingston

The bad-ass, really awesome video package airs to tell the story leading up to what has been a stellar program pitting Eddie Kingston against CM Punk.

We return live inside the arena and the theme hits to bring out “The Mad King.” Kingston makes his way out looking ready for business as the fans give him a big reaction.

Kingston settles in the ring and his music cuts off. Now the music hits to bring out “The Best in the World” and he too looks ready for business as well. The two stare each other down and Kingston gets the jump on Punk with a big spot.

Punk is laid out and Kingston is loving it. The ref checks on him. Punk is dazed and flips him off. The bell sounds and Kingston is all over Punk like a man possessed. The fans start thunderous dueling chants for Kingston and Punk as Kingston bites and pummels Punk on the floor at ringside.

Back inside the ring, Punk goes to work on Kingston, shifting the momentum into his favor with strikes in the corner. He whips Kingston to the opposing corner and hits a running knee lift for good measure. Kingston hits a t-bone suplex on Punk to kill his momentum. The fans are making so much noise this entire time.

Kingston ends up opening up a cut on Punk’s head and the veteran bleeds like a stuck pig as “The Mad King” continues to dominate the action. Punk starts fighting back and now he takes over. He gets Kingston down and flips him off but Kingston flips Punk off right back. Punk hits the three amigos suplex spot on Kingston as a tribute to Eddie Guerrero, who Punk noted he is dedicating this match to..

Punk heads to the top rope but Kingston pops up and stops him with one big shot. He climbs up after him and starts wildly brawling with strikes to the back of Punk’s head until he exhausts himself. Then he catches his breath and goes for a superplex, which connects. A “this is awesome” chant breaks out as Punk regains the offensive lead and heads to the outside of the ropes.

He heads back inside the ropes, crawling to Kingston and picking him up. Kingston swings with a back-fist but Punk ducks and he misses. Punk and Kingston stumble up to their feet and then Punk starts blasting Kingston with elbow strikes. The fans start to boo as Punk fires away with knees from the Thai clinch. He hoists Kingston up and connects with his Go 2 Sleep finisher for the pin fall victory. Punk goes to shake his hand afterwards but Kingston wants none of it. He exits the ring and pushes the camera away like Nick Diaz in his Strikeforce prime.

Winner: CM Punk

Inner Circle vs. American Top Team & Men Of The Year

We head to the video package to set up our co-main event of the evening, which will be a Minneapolis Street Fight. Local legend Baron Von Rasche is shown in the ringside area. We are treated to the ring entrance of the Dan Lambert-led American Top Team group consisting of Junior dos Santos and Andrei Arlovski, as well as The Men of the Year duo of Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky.

Now we hear the familiar sounds of “Judas in my Mind” as the Chris Jericho-led Inner Circle makes their way down to the ring. The two groups are in the ring and ready for the bell sounds to get this one off and running.

Sky starts things off for his team and he does well at first, but Inner Circle members start utilizing frequent tags to keep the offensive lead straight out of the gate in this one. Santana & Ortiz, complete with their big-match war paint, are dominating the action with big double team spots.

Jake Hager tags in and takes over a suplex started by Santana. Hager then dares a tag to be made and in comes former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski. The two trade shots.

Dos Santos tags in after Arlovski takes over and then he starts taking it to Jericho who just tagged in. He hits a standing moonsault splash and then Dan Lambert requests the tag knowing Jericho is down and out. Lambert comes in and is excited to have free shots. This leads to an all-out brawl from all members of both teams.

Eventually the Inner Circle crew empties the ring of all of the ATT and Men of the Year competitors. Lambert is left alone and turns to realize this. He escapes the ring and begins running around at ringside until we see the heel group start to take out members of Inner Circle.

Guevara fires back with a big splash onto the floor. Santana & Ortiz follow up with splashes of their own and then Hager heads to the top rope for a rare diving splash that takes out the entire pile of guys on the floor. Lambert is seen sneaking a steel pipe out of his jacket. The Inner Circle guys start pulling weapons out of a barrel as well. They use the barrel itself also.

The action resumes inside the ring and we see Santana & Ortiz beating down Ethan Page. They put a trash can over his head and beat it with hockey sticks. They take the can off and put him in a single leg Boston crab. Sky hits the ring to make the save but Santana cuts him off and puts him in a submission that is attached to the other submission. Excalibur calls it stereo submissions.

Sammy Guevara ends up joining the mix and then the three play to the crowd. Page starts to fight back in the ring, taking out Santana and Ortiz by himself. In comes Arlovski to help Page take it to them. Arlovski hits a big splash on him in the corner and then hoists him up as Page leaps to the middle rope to deliver a jumping kick to the head. Arlovski follows up with a spinebuster but when he goes for the cover, Hager hits the ring with a toaster and starts blasting everyone in sight.

“The Spanish God” hits a springboard cutter and then we see Santana & Ortiz follow up with a big double team spot. Guevara hits another spot and then the attention turns to the floor where a few brawls are taking place among different competitors in this match. We watch as Ethan Page hits an eagles edge on to the floor on one of the Inner Circle members. Now out of nowhere Page backs to the crowd to talk trash and then Baron Von Rasche gets involved, putting his legendary claw on him.

Now we see Santana hit a running dive onto Page on the guard rail. The two splash into the front row and then we see Dan Lambert alone in the ring as the fans boo. Chris Jericho emerges behind him and Lambert hasn’t realized it yet. The fans chant “You f*cked up” and then Lambert turns around and gets his commuppance. “Le Champion” fires away and decks Lambert. He hits the ropes for a lionsault but JDS from the floor cuts him off. He slams him down and Lambert tries for the cover but Jericho kicks out at two.

Jericho gets a kendo stick and begins wearing out Lambert with it. He then hits his finisher and goes for the cover to finish this one off. The Inner Circle have a big celebration as the fans cheer them on. Great Minneapolis Street Fight here.

Winners: The Inner Circle

Jay Lethal Is #AllElite, Calls Out Sammy Guevara

After the co-main event Minneapolis Street Fight wraps up, we shoot to Tony Schiavone, who introduces the latest addition to the AEW roster. With that said, out comes Jay Lethal.

Lethal comes out and does a promo about a hidden forbidden open door. He claims to have found it and he has stepped through it. He says it’s now official, Jay Lethal is “#AllElite.”

He goes on to mention an open challenge for the TNT Title. He then addresses reigning champion Sammy Guevara. He proposes himself versus Guevara this coming Wednesday night on Dynamite for the TNT title.

This leads to Guevara coming out with his ribs still taped up from the match that just ended. He gets in Lethal’s face and simply says, “you’re on.” He raises his TNT title high in the air and officials separate the two to end the segment.

AEW World Championship
“Hangman” Adam Page vs. Kenny Omega (C)

“The Dapper Yapper” Justin Roberts begins the formal pre-match ring introductions for this, our main event of the evening here at the annual AEW Full Gear pay-per-view.

The Target Center in Minneapolis, MN. as well as the international viewing audience gets to watch on as a cool pre-entrance vignette plays with “Hangman” Adam Page riding on a cowboy as he travels to the building.

We hear the fans chanting “cowboy sh*t” in the arena as he finally arrives on horseback and gets ready to make his walk. His theme hits and out he comes as the cheers grow and fireworks and pyro erupt as he makes his walk to the ring for this highly-anticipated showdown.

He finally settles into the ring and his music cuts off. Now he awaits the arrival of his former longtime friend, stable mate and former tag-team partner.

Finally, the theme hits for “The Cleaner” himself and out comes the leader of The Elite and the AEW World Champion Kenny Omega. Out comes Don Callis behind him and the duo begin making their way down to the ring.

The commentators bring the viewing audience at home up to speed as best they can with a brief recap of their storied rivalry as the two close-in on each other and go nose-to-nose as they await the final pre-match ring introductions.

“The Dapper Yapper” Justin Roberts checks in with those. He introduces Page and the crowd cheers. He then introduces the champion himself, Kenny Omega, and the fans boo. It’s almost main event time here at AEW Full Gear 2021!

We wrap up the pre-match introductions and the bell sounds to get this one off-and-running. The fans chant “f*ck’m up Hangman!” and they finally start to engage. They trade chops and kicks and then pick up the speed and intensity. Page shoulder tackles Omega down to the mat.

Omega starts to take over and he works over Page in the corner. He beats him down until he’s slumped in the corner and then he picks him back up and chokes him with his boot until the ref breaks them. When the ref does, Callis gets involved with some cheap shots choking Page over the bottom rope from the floor at ringside.

After the action resumes, Omega continues to widen the offensive gap between himself and Page. Page ends up scooping Omega up and dropping him on the ring apron. He slingshots off the ropes and knocks him out to the floor. He then springboards from the ropes to splash on him on the floor.

As the fans get another “Cowboy sh*t” chant going, we see Page backing off Callis after noticing him getting a little too close for comfort from behind. Page goes to reengage with Omega but Omega slams him back-first into the guard rail and ring apron to regain the offensive lead.

We see some more back-and-forth action and then the action spills out to the floor where each guy takes turns in the offensive lead. Page ends up hitting a big high spot splashing onto Omega on the floor that elicits another “Cowboy sh*t” chant from the crowd. He brings the action back in the ring and tries to finish the champ off, however Omega keeps this one alive.

The crowd continues to rallly behind Page as he keeps pursuing the finish in this one. Another chant breaks out for the purveyor of “cowboy sh*t” as he takes Omega to the top-rope with designs on a superplex. Omega punches and fights to avoid it and now he is the one looking to bring Page off the top the hard way. Omega hops on the ring apron and then hits a springboard liger bomb that pops the crowd huge.

As the action picks back up, Omega is now looking to finish him off as he hits a big Tiger Driver ’98. They head to the top rope and Page brings Omega off the hard way for another near fall of his own. We see replays of the crazy spot, with the announcers focusing on Omega selling his ribs upon the crash-landing.

Omega rolls out to the floor to buy himself some time to regroup while the fans break out in a loud “this is awesome!” chant. Page heads to the top rope and he yanks the camera taped to it off so he can stand directly on top of the steel post itself. He leaps and ends up blasting Omega with a flying lariat off the ring post through a table. We see several camera angles showing replays of this high spot, with the commentators focusing this time on Page landing awkwardly on his knee.

Page eventually gets up and scoops Omega up to bring the action back in the ring — where it needs to be if he wants to win the title. He positions himself for his Buckshot Lariat finisher but Omega sees it coming and takes a back-step. Page enters the ring and does the gun gesture that Omega uses before finishing his opposition off. Page goes for a V-Trigger but Omega avoids it. Page hits a spinning shot and then goes for the Buckshot Lariat. He hits it but also takes out the referee as Omega pulled the official in front of himself.

With the ref down, Callis runs around the ringside area and grabs the title belt. He heads in the ring behind Page looking to hit him with it but Page catches him. As he grabs Callis the title falls. He decks Callis as Omega picks the belt up. Page turns and Omega swings but Page ducks it. He scoops Omega up and hits a big semi-finisher. He goes for the cover and another ref immediately sprints down to the ring to make the cover. Omega still manages to kick out at the count of two and a half.

Omega goes for the V-Trigger and gets it. He goes for another but Page avoids it. He hits one while Page is standing but then Page catches him with a big back elbow. Both guys are exhausted and leaning on each other. Omega starts soccer kicking Page in the face with Kowada kicks. Page pops up and screams, “is that all you got mother f*cker?!” He then fires back with shots of his own and ends up decking the champ with a big lariat that nearly turns him inside out. We see replays of that as fans chant “AEW! AEW!”

Now we see The Young Bucks limp down to the ring after their brutal AEW Trios Falls Count Anywhere match earlier in the show. Meanwhile, Omega picks Page up and headbutts him. He goes for a back-driver but Page pops up and hits Omega with one of his own. Page runs and positions himself for the Buckshot Lariat. He goes for it but leaps right into a V-Trigger from Omega. Omega goes for the one winged angel but Page counters and hoists Omega up for a one-winged angel attempt of his own. Page hits his and goes for the cover but Omega somehow manages to kick out.

Page hits Omega with the Buckshot Lariat from behind and then goes outside of the ropes to do another one from the other side of the ring. He looks down at Matt Jackson, who shakes his head seemingly in approval, and then Page hits another Buckshot Lariat. He goes for the cover and gets the win. We have ourselves a new AEW World Champion.

Winner and NEW AEW World Champion: “Hangman” Adam Page

After The Match: Looking At The Confusing Finish

We see replays as the commentators stress the fact that Matt Jackson gave Page approval for all intents and purporses, to take out their own guy from The Elite after not being by his side in the early formative days of AEW. They finally leave the ringside area and as Page continues his celebration, out comes The Dark Order. They join him in the ring for a big celebration and that’s how this year’s AEW Full Gear 2021 pay-per-view goes off the air. Thanks for joining us!
