WWE released a post honoring NXT champion Adam Cole for holding the yellow-and-black brand’s top belt for a full calendar year. Cole responded to the post writing, “I freakin did it boys…WE did it. 365 days as NXT Champion. The GREATEST NXT Champ of all time. Party hats and champagne galore.”
In a separate tweet…The Undisputed Era leader later added, “Here’s the deal. As NXT Champion, I have never settled or gotten comfortable. But there are certain days where you have to sit back and smell the roses. Today is one of those days. I am the greatest champion this brand has ever seen. And that’s #Undisputed.”

Cole won the NXT championship from Johnny Gargano at NXT Takeover XXV from Hartford Connecticut. He has since defended it on NXT on USA, Takeovers, SmackDown, and Survivor Series.
