A PSG star slams the door, he justifies his choice

Under contract until June 30, 2024 with PSG, Keylor Navas has decided to change clubs this winter to find a starting place. While he has just been loaned to Nottingham Forest, the Costa Rican international explained his choice. As he explained himself, Keylor Navas wanted to take on a new challenge by migrating to the Premier League.

Since the arrival of Christophe Galtier, Keylor Navas had to content himself with a role of understudy in the PSG, behind Gianluigi Donnarumma. Not at all satisfied with his new status, the 36-year-old Costa Rican goalkeeper decided to look elsewhere. And fortunately for him, Keylor Navas has found a taker.

“It’s a great team that I respect a lot”

As announced by the PSG, Keylor Navas – who is under contract until June 30, 2024 with the Parisian club – is committed to Nottingham Forest in the final moments of the winter transfer window. The former doorman real Madrid is on loan without an option to purchase until June 30.

Arrive at Nottingham Forest, Keylor Navas explained his choice to leave the PSG for the Premier League. “When I was younger, I always dreamed of being a professional footballer. And now that this dream has come true, I am very happy. (…) It’s a great team that I respect a lot. I wanted to take on a new challenge by joining the Premier League and I think it’s a great opportunity for my life, my career and my family. I am very excited to start”said the 36-year-old veteran in a video posted on the account Twitter of NottinghamForest. It remains to be seen whether Keylor Navas will make a strong impression Premier League during the second half of the season.
